1. About Goated

Goated (“Goated”, “we”, “us”) is a marketplace where brands book creators on X to post about product launches. Brands pay Goated, and Goated pays creators. Goated is run by Goated Media LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, at 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States.

These terms are an agreement between you and Goated Media LLC. They apply to goated.so, the brand and creator dashboards, our emails, and anything else we run under the Goated name (together, the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Refunds and Cancellation policy are part of these terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

2.1 Who can use Goated

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • If you use Goated for a company, you confirm you are allowed to act for it, and “you” includes that company.
  • You may not use Goated if you are barred from receiving services under US law, or if we have closed your account before.

2.2 Your account

  • Sign up with an email and password, an emailed code, or Google. Keep your sign-in private; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Keep your details accurate, including your email, company and website for brands, and your audience and rates for creators.
  • A creator may only claim an X handle they own and run. Claiming someone else’s handle is impersonation, and we remove it.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@goated.so if you think someone else is using your account.

3. How bookings work

  1. Brands browse the roster. Each creator’s price for each post format is shown before anything is booked.
  2. Brands invite creators to a launch. An invitation carries the brief, the format and the price. A brand may also make an offer at a different price, which the creator can accept or decline.
  3. Creators say yes or no. If the brand asked for a draft, the creator sends one and the brand approves it or asks for changes.
  4. The brand pays for its lineup. A launch only goes live once the money for every creator who said yes has arrived.
  5. Launch day. Every booked creator gets the go-live email with the brand’s link and posts.
  6. We check every post. Each creator shares their post link, we confirm it is live and matches the booking, and then the creator is paid.

Goated is the platform between brands and creators. We are not the brand’s agency and we are not the creator’s employer. Creators decide how they write and post, within the brief they accepted.

4. Plans and payments

4.1 Plans

  • Launch pass: a one-time payment that covers one launch. A pass is used when you send that launch’s invitations. If you cancel a launch before it goes live, the pass comes back to you.
  • All Access: a monthly subscription that covers every launch you run while it is active. It renews each month until you cancel.
  • Current prices are on the pricing page. We may change prices for new purchases; a change to an active subscription takes effect from your next renewal after we tell you.

4.2 Early-bird pricing

While an early-bird offer runs, the Launch pass is sold at a lower one-time price, and All Access is discounted for your first month only. From the second month All Access renews at the regular monthly price. Early-bird pricing ends when we end the offer, and it does not apply to purchases made after that.

4.3 Card payments

Plans are paid by card through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. That means Dodo Payments processes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and appears on your statement. Depending on where you are, you may be charged in your local currency. Card details go to Dodo Payments and are never stored by Goated.

4.4 Cancelling All Access

Cancel any time from Billing → Manage card in your dashboard, which opens Dodo Payments’ billing portal, or by writing to hello@goated.so from your account email. Your subscription stops renewing and stays active until the end of the month you paid for. Refunds are covered in our Refunds and Cancellation policy.

5. Booking money

  • Prices are all-in. The price a brand sees for a creator is the full price for that post. It pays the creator and Goated’s service. There are no extra fees on top.
  • Paid upfront, by bank transfer. Once creators say yes, the brand pays for the lineup by bank transfer (ACH or wire) to Goated’s account at Mercury, with the reference shown at checkout. The launch can go live once the full amount has arrived. Bank fees charged by the sender’s bank are the sender’s to pay.
  • Prices lock. Once you have sent money for a launch, the prices in it no longer change.
  • We hold it, then pay creators. Goated holds booking money until a creator’s post is confirmed, then pays that creator. What happens to the money if a launch is cancelled or a creator doesn’t post is set out in Refunds and Cancellation.

6. For brands

  • You are responsible for your brief, your product and any claim you ask a creator to make. Don’t ask for anything false, misleading or unlawful, and don’t ask creators to hide that a post is paid.
  • You may review drafts and ask for changes before launch. Once a creator’s post is live and matches the brief they accepted, it counts as delivered.
  • We cannot promise any number of views, clicks, sign-ups or sales. A creator’s past results don’t guarantee future ones.
  • Messages and calls with creators are for working on your launches. Treat creators with respect.

7. For creators

7.1 Your page and your rates

  • You set your own rate for each post format. Your page goes live when your account meets our roster requirements, and you can take it down or put it back at any time.
  • Your page must be truthful: your audience details, screenshots and past work must be real and yours.
  • We may remove a page from the roster, for example if it breaks these terms or no longer meets the roster requirements. Work you were already booked for is settled fairly.

7.2 Posting

  • Post what you agreed: the brief, the format and the date of the launch you accepted, from your own X account.
  • Disclose every paid post clearly and as the law requires, for example with “#ad” or X’s paid partnership label. Rules such as the FTC’s Endorsement Guides apply to you.
  • Keep the post up for at least 7 days after we confirm it. Deleting it early can cancel your payout for it.
  • Only share posts you published for that booking. A post can only be claimed once.

7.3 Getting paid

  • You are paid the rate on your booking, or the offer you accepted, in US dollars. Brands’ prices include Goated’s service; that never reduces what you agreed to receive.
  • A post becomes payable once we have confirmed it is live. We pay as soon as we can, usually within a few days, and send the payout by bank transfer to the account in your dashboard and email you when it is sent.
  • We pay to bank accounts only. We can’t pay to countries our bank can’t send to or that are under US sanctions.
  • You are an independent creator, not Goated’s employee. You are responsible for your own taxes, and we may ask for tax forms before paying you.
  • Check your bank details carefully. If a payout fails because the details were wrong, we will help you fix them and resend, but we can’t be responsible for money sent to an account you gave us.

8. Content and licences

  • You keep what you create. Brands keep their briefs, logos and product material. Creators keep their posts, drafts and profile.
  • You let Goated run the service with it. You give Goated a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and process your content so we can run Goated, for example to show a creator’s page, deliver drafts and messages, and send the go-live email.
  • Brands and booked posts. A creator lets the brand share, quote and link to the post they were booked for, as it appears on X. Using a creator’s name, face or post in paid ads or anywhere else needs the creator’s separate permission.
  • Public pages. A creator’s page on Goated is public and may show their public X profile, rates, topics and public posts.
  • Goated’s own material. The Goated name, logo, Goatie, design and software belong to Goated Media LLC. Don’t copy them or present your own work as ours.

9. Acceptable use

Don’t use Goated to:

  • buy or sell fake engagement, bots, or posts from accounts you don’t control;
  • promote anything illegal, deceptive, hateful, sexual, or harmful to minors, or products that need a licence you don’t have;
  • harass, threaten or spam anyone, in messages, calls or posts;
  • impersonate a person or company, or misstate who you are, your audience or your results;
  • scrape, copy or resell the roster or rates, or try to reach data that isn’t yours;
  • break, probe or overload the service, or get around its limits or security;
  • launder money, dodge sanctions, or pay or get paid for anything other than a real booking.

We may remove content, withhold a payout tied to a breach, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. Keeping deals on Goated

Goated works because brands and creators find each other here. If you meet through Goated, book paid posts with each other through Goated for 12 months after you first connected. Don’t use messages or calls on Goated to move a deal elsewhere or to swap payment details. This does not stop a creator working with a brand they already worked with before Goated.

11. AI features

Goated uses AI to help: drafting a creator’s page from their public X profile, reading audience screenshots, reading a brand’s website, suggesting prices, writing post drafts, and checking chat for price talk outside the offer button. AI can be wrong. Check anything it writes before you use it, and you remain responsible for what you post, send or approve.

12. Suspension and closing

  • You can stop using Goated at any time. To close your account, write to hello@goated.so from your account email.
  • We may suspend or close an account, or take a page off the roster, if it breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you why first.
  • If an account is closed, bookings already paid for are settled: creators are paid for confirmed posts, and brands are refunded what our Refunds and Cancellation policy says.
  • Sections 5, 8 and 13 to 16 keep applying after an account closes.

13. Disclaimers

Goated is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond what these terms say, including about results, uptime, or that the service will be error-free. We don’t control what creators post or what brands sell, and we are not responsible for X, which can change, limit or remove posts and accounts.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Goated and Goated Media LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Goated in the three months before the claim, or US$100. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

15. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against Goated because of your content, your product, your posts, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including legal fees.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, write to hello@goated.so so we can try to settle it within 30 days. If we can’t, any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your country gives you that can’t be waived.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Goated changes. We change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we email account holders before they take effect. If you keep using Goated after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, stop using Goated and close your account.
